Precision Testing carries out agronomic and varietal trials on the main herbaceous crops in Northern Italy (Piedmont, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia), meeting the needs of research in characterizing products in different agro-environments.
The company owns and uses modern equipment equipped with the latest technologies to:
sow (also applying granular and liquid products);
measure productive parameters;
map the physiological state of crops and yields.
The tractors and plot combines are equipped with semi-automatic guidance and the equipment is connected via ISOBUS and managed by monitors. The seeders and combines are managed by dedicated software, which allows monitoring of their operation (for example, seeding control) and recording of data relating to each operation performed.
Precision Testing carries out:
plot sowings, also varying the density plot by plot
sowing of macro plots or full field on prescription maps and at variable rate
traditional plot harvesting for varietal comparison, measuring yield and some qualitative parameters with modern systems
continuous harvesting, either by detecting the final weight of the macro area, or by recording grain flows for the creation of georeferenced maps
All sowing and harvesting data are georeferenced

Precision seeding
The HALDRUP SP-35 precision seeder, with Monosem seeding units, allows the sowing of row crops in soils of various textures and preparations (from conventional tillage, to minimum tillage, to no-till seeding).
It is able to handle plot sowing, with plot-by-plot density changes and to simultaneously distribute microgranular products in the seed furrow, liquid products inside and outside the furrow, and chemical fertilizers (with a specific kit for application and incorporation).
The seeder has also been equipped with a system to perform (as with modern conventional full-field seeders) variable rate sowing based on prescription maps; this modification allows testing of products with precision agriculture techniques.

The pneumatic row seeder, on DAMAX frame, for non-hoed species, is capable of performing parcel sowing even with the simultaneous distribution of microgranular products in the seed furrow.
It also performs sowing at a fixed dose and at variable rate on prescription maps.

Two plot combines equipped with modern and different weighing systems allow the Company to offer differentiated services.
The HALDRUP C-85 (purchased new in 2022), equipped with GPS and semi-automatic steering, has a complex system for evaluating yields and the qualitative parameters of the grain. In particular, the latter is capable of performing many continuous measurements on the entire volume of grain harvested from the plot. The machine is also equipped with a sophisticated grain sampling system (managed in the cab by the second operator), which allows for continuous sampling from the entire harvested volume and also for cleaning the sample.
The FarmLiner 3370, (modified by BAURAL and purchased used in 2020), has a new plot weighing system (2021) and has been equipped with GPS and a system for continuous yield mapping.
Both combines are equipped with headers for harvesting corn, small grain cereals, and oilseed crops. The FarmLiner 3370, with wider headers than the C-85, is used for large areas.

The rotary chopper-loader KE-125 allows chopping crops sown at different densities and row spacings. The conveyor channel is connected to a weighing system with load cells. The entire loading and weighing system is designed to prevent even the smallest amount of product loss.

The meticulous care that the Precision Testing technicians put into all field operations is the basis for providing solid data. The working group is structured and organized to:
ensure the execution of sowing according to the rules of the art, according to the sponsors' requests and good agricultural practices,
properly calibrate all machines, electronic and digital systems, verifying their full efficiency and the quality of the data collected,
obtain clean and undamaged seeds, which would compromise the quality of the data provided.

The field experience and use of machinery by Precision Testing technicians, combined with the possession of specific certificates for the use of machinery, licenses for driving heavy vehicles and for piloting drones, allows the work group to operate with full autonomy and flexibility, ensuring promptness of operations ina safe environment.
The Company, in fact, continually invests to increase the safety of mechanical operations in the field
