CROP VARIABILITY MONITORING
The technicians of Precision Testing Srl carry out:
a) monitoring of the vegetative state
- with drones equipped with multispectral and RGB cameras
- with proximal sensors (GreenSeeker®) to be installed on agricultural tractors
The processing of the collected data allows the creation of:
- variability maps of vigor indices (NDVI, NDRE, OSAVI)
- variability maps of chlorophyll content indices (LCI, GNDVI)
b) monitoring of the water status of crops and some climatic parameters
- with drone equipped with thermal camera
- with soil probes, for continuous measurement of water content, temperature, and conductivity
- with weather stations and multiparametric sensors, for recording the main climatic parameters.
The following are provided to agricultural enterprises:
- information on the crop status for its water management (from water balance)
- variability maps of water stress indices (CWSI)
- real-time climatic data for DSS, for integrated protection against pests and fungal parasites.
Technologies for crop characterization and mapping
Drone with multispectral camera
Drone equipped with a multispectral camera, records the radiation reflected in the different wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum and allows the assessment of the vigor and health status of vegetation thanks to the processing of various indices (NDVI, OSAVI, NDMI, NDRE, MCARI)
Drone equipped with thermal camera
Drone equipped with a thermal camera, capable of recording the infrared radiation emitted by vegetation; the data collected, through the processing of specific indices (CWSI, NDWI) allow the generation of thermal maps and the identification of areas subject to water stress.
